Splash screen...again

This request was made months ago, but the answer is that the design rules does not recommend its use.

Even now we can see google apps with splash screen: youtube, google docs, maps, etc.

Really so hard to give us the option and we decide to use it or not?

Actually we've discussed offering an optional splash screen in the future -- possibly even a multi-page screen with the dots along the bottom.
