How to reduce size of the icons

Can someone please advise on how to reduce the size of icons so a lot more can be fitted in one screen without having to scroll?

I have tried reducing the size/pixel of the icon images but has not helped. I would appreciate some steer. Thanks.

    This isn't possible. Uploading icons with a lower resolution just results in an unsharp icon with the same size of an icon with a higher resolution.
