Black Screen with Vimeo
As easy as it is to embed YouTube in my apps, the video sharing giant has become increasing more difficult with their copyright policy for background music.
So now I'm running into the challenge of how to embed videos in my apps. I've setup a free Vimeo account and put in a test Video RSS into one of my apps just to see how it works.
The audio comes through clean but the video is just black (I've tried embedding it several different ways as well). I came across this forum that discusses the issue with certain browsers' hardware-accelerated video decoding but not sure if this would be a fix for a mobile app (and you'd hate to have all your users make changes like this to their devices).
Anyone else out there have any luck with embedding a Vimeo video in their app?
