Usable screen size

What is the max screen size usable, or rather as screen sizes are different, what is the size of the page title and advert block, I can then calculate the screen size from this. 
This is for an internal app used on a known device (1280x800), we are uploading our own html/flash demos and will resize these first.

    As it can vary between devices, if you really want to do something hardcoded for a specific device, one approach would be to take a screenshot and measure it that way.

    Although I would strongly recommend using a flexible layout that will work across more devices and configuration changes, if possible.
