Inconsistencies with Styles

  I'm having some problems with the Background in my app development.  In Styles, I have the color set to #0d0d0d, which is Black.  My app contains some RSS feed Activities, as well as a Twitter Activity, and I'm testing on a Samsung Galaxy S5.  When I open the Twitter activity, the background is black, as it should be.  When I open the RSS feeds, the background is white and I can't seem to find any setting to change this to the desired black that I have chosen in the settings.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Technically #0d0d0d is a very dark grey (#000000 is black) but that's beside the point. :)

    What RSS activity settings are you using? For example, if Row Style is set to "Card" instead of "Standard" I believe the rows will automatically use the standard Android card background colour.
