I'm looking around at the new layout and I have a few questions:
1. What are these new spots for "marketing description"?
2. What is the purpose of selecting the "category"? (I know it's always been there, but with all the new options I'm wondering what exactly this does)
3. Which dashboard "list" style most closely resembles the old one?
4. Is there no longer an option for custom activity icons?
5. What is the purpose of adding the admob app id?

FYI - We'll be getting screenshots etc of the different dashboard styles up as we can as well. Anyone who feels like contributing to that effort, please post here in the forums.

I can answer a couple of those:

Depends on what settings you were using before, but probably "List: square title subtitle 01"

> 4. Is there no longer an option for custom activity icons?

Use the square image to supply your own graphics (PNG with alpha is supported). The built-in icons require a specific format to support tinting, and are primarily meant for use in the navigation drawer. (Although it's also possible to use them on the dashboard with the "List: icon..." item styles.)
